THE CLIENT:

Sofie Buckland: Communist Activist. Involved in corporate/ political and human rights protests.










THE BRIEF:

To design anti- war protest posters/ banners.

THE OUTCOME:







In the morning I attended the exhibition "State Britain", currently being shown at the Tate Britain, for some inspiration.

Day 14, project 14 (d14:p14)

THE CLIENT:

The Lazy Oaf, Carnaby Street

Lazy Oaf was born in 2001, created and owned by Gemma Sheil. Today Lazy Oaf stores are located in UK, Paris Japan and Italy, selling a distinct brand image that is "likely to make you smile and sometimes spontaneously dance with joy" (Gemma Sheil).








THE BRIEF:

Monster competition- design a 'Monster' to be judged by 'Lazy Oaf, winning entry will be subsequently exhibited in a gallery in East London, March.

THE OUTCOME:

Personal response to brief: The creation of 'Real Monsters'. Those things that annoy/ scare people in the real, not imaginary world.

6 hand crafted finger-puppets were made/ a presentation postcard/ guide to accompany puppets and designed wrapping paper/ label for posting.

THE BRIEF:

Primary target: To update/ contemporise his business cards.

Secondary target: To complete all work within 60 minutes.

Due to the Internet problems, I was forced to re-arrange my project schedule. After designing business cards on day 3/9, I decided to set a project within the project and test how much I had learned so far with business card design.

All work was now to be designed and delivered within the hour.
